Three claims no other name has ever made
Plenty of teachers offered good advice. Only one claimed to be the way itself, the truth itself, and life itself — and then proved it by walking out of His own grave.

In a world of competing opinions, He didn't claim to teach truth — He claimed to be it. Truth became a face you could look at, a voice you could follow.

He offered more than survival or self-improvement — He offered eternal life that begins now, a life that death itself could not hold down.

He never claimed to be merely a good man

04 · THE GREAT DESCENT & ASCENT
From the highest place, all the way down — and back
Philippians 2:6-11 traces the journey of Christ: equal with God, He emptied Himself to a servant's death, and was then exalted above all. Follow the path.
In very nature God
“Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage.” He began not as a created being but as God Himself.

“Rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.” The King chose the towel and basin.

Obedient to death on a cross
“He humbled himself by becoming obedient to death — even death on a cross!” The lowest, most shameful death — freely chosen, for us.

“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name.” Death could not keep Him; the grave became a doorway.

Three foundations we keep returning to
“No one comes to the Father except through me.”
This is the most exclusive and the most inclusive sentence ever spoken. Exclusive, because there is one Way. Inclusive, because that Way is open to anyone — every nation, every story, every failure. The door is narrow, but it is a door, and it is wide open.

Why it matters on campus
- It frees us from the anxiety of guessing whether we've done enough.
- It gives us a sure hope to offer friends searching for meaning.
- It calls us to humility — we didn't find the Way; the Way found us.
“The name that is above every name.”
Every other name will fade — every brand, every leader, every accomplishment we chase. One name will outlast them all and is worthy of our deepest allegiance now, not just at the end of history.

A name to build a life on
- Worship is simply giving Jesus the place He already holds.
- Every knee bows eventually — willingly now is the joy.
- His exaltation is our security: our Lord cannot be dethroned.

He is not a slice of our lives — a Sunday compartment beside the rest. He is the integrating center, the One in whom all things hold together, including the parts of us we thought were beyond repair.

The questions we actually get asked
Doubt is welcome here. Click a question to read how we'd begin the conversation — over coffee, not in a lecture.
Isn't it arrogant to say Jesus is the only way?
It would be arrogant if we'd invented it. But we're simply passing on what Jesus said about Himself. The real question isn't whether it's polite — it's whether it's true. And if the One who walked out of His own grave says He's the way, humility means listening, not editing Him to fit our comfort.
How do we know the resurrection actually happened?
Consider the empty tomb, the eyewitnesses who touched Him, and the disciples who went from hiding to dying for the claim — people don't martyr themselves for what they know is a lie. We'd love to actually examine the historical case with you; bring your hardest objections.
Can I follow Jesus and still be a serious scientist?
Absolutely — many in our community are. Faith doesn't ask you to switch off your mind; it gives a reason to trust that the universe is ordered and knowable in the first place. Some of history's greatest scientists worshipped the One who holds all things together.
What if I've done things I think are unforgivable?
Then you're exactly who Jesus came for. He was called ‘a friend of sinners’ — it was meant as an insult; He wore it as a mission. There is no past so dark that the cross can't reach it. Grace is not earned; it's received.
Do I have to have it all figured out to belong here?
Not at all. You can explore here long before you believe. Come with your questions intact. Following Jesus is a journey of trust that grows over time, and you're welcome at every stage — curious, skeptical, or all in.

It means our community is centered on the Person of Jesus rather than any nationality, trend, or sub-group. It's a culture defined by one Lord whom we love, follow, and make much of together.
Do I have to be a Christian to come?
No. Skeptics, seekers, the curious, and the burned-out are all genuinely welcome. Many in our community started out exploring with serious doubts. Come as you are.
Is this tied to a specific denomination?
We're an interdenominational campus ministry. Our unity is in the historic, biblical gospel of Jesus Christ — not in secondary divisions. We partner with many local churches across traditions.
