Why We Gather

Not events for events' sake — the church, gathered.

Every community event exists for one reason: to stir one another up to love and good works. The early church didn't just attend a service — they shared life, meals, prayers and worship daily. Our gatherings are an invitation into that same kind of spiritual family, where you are known, prayed for, and never alone.

For New Students

You're not looking for friends.

Testimonies

What gathering has done

I came to a Friday worship night my second week, completely alone. By the end of the night three people had prayed for me by name. That was the night UCSD became home.

The Thanksgiving Friendsgiving was the first holiday I didn't spend alone since moving from overseas. I cried — the good kind. These people are my family now.

I started going to the Thursday prayer meeting just to support a friend. Six months later I gave my life to Jesus there. Gathering changed my eternity.

Save Your Spot

Let us know you're coming

We'll send you a reminder, look for you at the door, and make sure you have someone to sit with. No one walks in alone.

“Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works.” — Hebrews 10:24

Common Questions

Before you come

Do I need to be a Christian to come?

Not at all. Every event is open to every Triton — wherever you are with faith, you are genuinely welcome. Many of our community first came just curious, or to support a friend.

What should I expect at Friday Worship?

About 45 minutes of live worship music, a 25-minute message from the Bible, and time afterward to meet people over food. Come as you are — no dress code, no pressure.

Is there a cost?

Every community event is free. Seasonal trips or retreats may have a small cost, but scholarships are always available — no student is ever turned away for finances.

I'm shy — will I feel out of place?

Tell us you're coming via RSVP and our welcome team will personally meet you at the door and introduce you to people. You'll never have to walk in alone.

Your seat at the table is already saved.

Pick one gathering this week and just show up. We'll take care of the rest.

“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people dwell together in unity.” — Psalm 133:1
